Through the summer of 2020 to the present, weather permitting, I have done several series of chalk portraits focused on Black leaders, scientists, artists, sports legends, as well as People of Color we have lost through violence and injustice.

These portraits appear for a time outside my Bay View home until the rain comes and cleans the canvas so I am only able to capture them for a brief moment, but their impermanence is part of their beauty.
